Duck, Duck, … Goose?

We spent all morning in DUMBO at Esmé’s 5th (and Cleo’s 1st) birthday party. It was the first time we ever arrived around 10:00 am at the boardwalk and the kids were excited to meet the rightful inhabitants of the coastline, a family of geese. Once the morning sun broke through the clouds and the place filled up with weekend crowds, the birds were all gone, leaving ample amounts of grass-green poop.

The birthday party was a huge success, but Mika didn’t know many of Esmé’s friends. She stuck to Santiago and Nico and decided to climb trees for a while. Eventually, a plate full of whipped cream got our monkey right back to the table…
