Our first snow storm of the season didn’t turn out to be as record breaking as promised, but we got a solid 12+ inches to play with (eastern Long Island got 28 inches!). We didn’t bother heading to Prospect Park yet – just played around the house and on nearby playgrounds all day long.

We do! If only the snow plows – and the citizens of NY – weren’t so %#€$@ efficient. Hours after the last flakes have settled, all sidewalks are already cleared/salted, and even the minor streets are being plowed: we could pull the kids to the playground in the sled at 10:00 am, but when we went home at 3:00 pm, the sidewalks were concrete again and everybody had to walk :-P

Looks like everyone had a great time! We took Roman out for a bit but he was still suspicious. He enjoyed watching us make snowballs and whack them around though. Where did you get those hoods for the kids? I’ve been trying to look for a hood but have not been successful.
    Merry xmas!
