Urban Meadow

An after school play date with Olivia concluded our sunny day. The kids chose the Urban Meadow over the adjacent playground and happily poked around the grass and hibernating flower field, collecting “fluff”, clover leaves, and other little treasures. It got so late that we decided to treat them to dinner at Calexico. The biggest hit were shared bottles of fluorescent Jarritos, which sent the girls into a sugar rush even before they had their first sip.

Ha! That’s right…
The girls hijacked Tobin’s loveys, “Hase” (bunny) and “kleiner Hase” (little bunny). I am surprised he let them get away with it, but it was one of those moments where it’s smarter for a two-year-old not to start a fight with two five-year-olds. No bunnies were harmed in the making of this post ;-)
