… have been busy. They kicked off the production with our classic family recipe, which is based on Dr. Oetker’s Schulkochbuch from the 1950’s.

    Das Rezept ist für “Schwarz-Weiss Gebäck“. Wir nehmen den hellen Teig (ohne Rum Aroma) für klassische Weihnachtsplätzchen. Dünn ausrollen, und mit verschlagenem Ei bestreichen, damit die Dekorationen halten. Das Ei gibt auch ohne Dekorationen einen schönen Glanz.

    what a lovely photo. do the sprinkles etc get baked with the biscuit and do they hold up? recipe please…

    Jeeun – the decoration actually gets baked, so you can’t use chocolate sprinkles (even m&m’s tend to crack). It all sticks for good thanks to a light brush with whisked egg. If i am not baking with the kids, i actually prefer to use shaved almonds for better taste.
