From Tobin With Love

February 14th, 2011 by ninja

This year marked the first time for Tobin to participate in the annual Valentine’s Day card exchange – which meant crafting 25 (!) love notes for all of his class mates. He happily followed his sister’s creative lead, stamping potato hearts, throwing glitter, and gluing googly eyes onto the cards. He even started signing his name, but half way through he got tired of writing and decided that rolling in between cards could apply a personal finish as well. I am just happy this was the second – and last – time to make valentines with a three-year-old

    I hear you.

This year Eric is in charge of assisting Chloe on her effort of making pop up cards, all 25 of them plus teachers. You should assign Sung!

Of course Ines was left on her own until Sunday afternoon, when I realize she only had 6. Then mommy came to the rescue.

How cute! But it sounds tiring. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Jen – We should’ve started earlier for sure. It’s simply bad planning on my part to ask him to sign all cards in one day … let alone one afternoon. The most important thing is that he ended up with enough cards … and had fun making them. We stopped right before it got to be a chore, so some of the cards just have the artwork. Still cute enough for the many kids he doesn’t even have play dates with.

As for Sung spearheading this activity? Think again ;-)

Oh Sooki … not even his teachers got a card this year, although that’s customary to include. We’ll just have to send our love virtually to you this year. Happy Valentine’s Day :-xxx

Hehe … Sooki, when i saw that ONE, leftover card Tobin had accidentally made, i knew whom to send it to! The kids had counted the number of girl- and boy cards each of them wanted to craft, and i believe two sheets initially stuck together. No matter how unintentional the history of this card, it comes to you with love xoxo
