Mission Accomplished

July 1st, 2011 by ninja

Team Chang came into town to watch the kids (and Luna, our plants, and the house) while Sung and i spent our second ever kid-free week since … having kids. It was also the first consecutive week the kids spent with Halmoni, Harabogi, and Uncle Joe, and they loved it! Together, they juggled a birthday party in Manhattan, the last days of Mika’s school, German after school, and several play dates. To top it off, they went up on the Empire State Building, which had been on our to-do list for at least a year. Thank you so much again for all your help and see you soon!!!

No post about our getaway, Sooki … this is more about the kids and family life. Sung posted a bunch of pictures on fb though, and i didn’t quite photograph everything, all the time. For once ;-)

Jeeun, don’t be too jealous. This is a FIRST – in almost 7 years.

Baltimore (grandparents) is not exactly ’round the corner … neither is L.A. (Uncle Joe).
Also, Sung’s dad is still working, so both men had to put in a week of vacation just for this. We’re doubly happy – and thankful – it all worked out so well.

Our only other getaway (to Sooki and Johan in Summer 2009), was made possible by my parents – we left the kids with them and flew in- and out of Germany.
