Mika’s old lion hat is still part of our dress up bin, thanks to way-too-generous measurements back in 2006. Today, Tobin insisted that he – as a male lion – needs to add a legitimate mane to the costume. So he did. Blissfully unaware of the girlishness of his props…

I think i will rip off the grey wolf “Spirit Hood”, if i can get a similar fabric … and make a matching tail-on-a-belt as well: http://spirithoodskids.com/boys/
It would be most fun for me, if i could make a girly version for Mika (white cat w. pink paws?), so that i can re-use the sewing pattern. Also, the kids play “cat”, “lion”, or “wolf” all the time anyway, and would get good mileage out of those costumes later on.
