Sick Day

Mika got knocked out by a stomach flu. It started last night with violent vomiting after a birthday party – which we mistook as a case of “she ate too many cupcakes/jellybeans/gummybears”. High fever kicked in a couple hours later and after a rough night she spent the whole day resting on the couch. She wasn’t even interested in her favorite TV cartoons (!) We managed to keep her fever just under 104°F (40°C), thanks to cold wraps, some medicine, and Pedialyte freezer pops.
Tobin’s true empathy has yet to be developed … he was just making sure he gets a tasting of the freezer pops as well.

Thanks for your well wishes. She’s actually still very sick today – i had hoped for a ’24 hour bug’, but it looks like this is at least another day :(
