Happy Father’s Day

June 17th, 2012 by ninja

The kids designed a sheet of temporary tattoos to celebrate Sung on Father’s Day. We printed some designs in matching sizes, but due to a turbulent morning, it was impossible to get all three of them posing together. Here are Sung and Tobin, sporting Mika’s design … and a view of the whole sheet:

Sabine – Tween drama. 7-yo acted like a 3-yo, was reprimanded by dad, which triggered an encore, which ended in deliberate removal of matching tattoo (by her). They made up later, of course, but the photo opp was gone ;-)

Fred – you don’t need the proprietary machines to use this tattoo paper. I printed with our regular inkjet on the paper layer, applied the sheet of adhesive (like back in the days of analog foam board presentations) – that was it. We cut the designs to size before applying them onto skin like a store bought temp tattoo.

The colors look even nicer than i had expected, except one can’t do white backing. The ink seems to be completely locked between the layers of adhesive, since the color doesn’t bleed during the application process. That should mean there is no direct contact of printer ink to skin either.
