Chillin’ at the Dumbo Smorg

75°F and sunny: dreamy weather for a family bike ride to Dumbo. We set up camp in the shade of a young tree at the waterfront and ate our way through the first Smorgasburg at the old Tobacco Warehouse. I love September weather in New York!

Please take us to your favorite places when we visit you next year :P I say next year cause … well, perhaps if i say it enough it will actually happen!!

Next year will be epic, since we are set on visiting you in Sweden as well. But that would be in August, and your trip to NY should rather be in late May or September, if you are shooting for the best climate. Right now it’s absolutely perrrrfect (!)
Of COURSE we will take you to all our old and new favorite spots. Can’t believe you haven’t been to the High Line, among many new places. The Smorgasburg in Dumbo opened this past Sunday, but was an instant hit!

Von Changs in Sweden! Yup, Johan is going to definitely book upstairs. Ninjette, so just to start planning ahead, Lukas’ daycare is off the 3 last weeks of july and 1st week of august. So we are kind of forced to use those days. So the best is for you to visit us that 1st week of August. June expressed her wish to come visit us and since she can start vacation earlier.. perhaps she can come towards the end and somehow we can overlap you guys 1 day or something..but i think that might be too much as we don’t have space for everybody. This summer was tough even with just us – long story short, everybody was unhappy with something so i want to avoid as much in laws next summer as possible.

Actually, another option is that i start vacation 1 week late in july(johan can go to Marstrand with Lukas first perhaps) and then you guys can come 2nd week of August. That kind of sounds better no? We’ll figure it out! :) As for NY, it’s more wishful thinking…
