As of today, Tobin has figured out that tummy time can be averted by rolling over onto his back. Finally, a (preliminary) use for all those wiggling limbs around him! He did it twice in a row, laughing in my face … just to prove his point.

Tobin decided to take over check out the room that he’ll share with his big sister in the future. Be careful what you wish for, little guy … the night catering might not live up to your expectations!

Today Elsie came by Mika’s school with Violet and Sarah, to kick off our 68°F-in-January -playdate. Finally, after so many postponed attempts, we had our perfect afternoon … including a never-ending stream of ‘chocolate cake’ samplers from the sandbox.

Tobin is going to apply for his TWO passports soon, so today he showed his best side to be laminated for the next 5 years.

So after many colds, coughs and cancellations, the Der Roehl’s made it over to celebrate the New Year.

Our first social outing of the year: the Baker-Stohlmann’s New Year’s brunch. Tobin slept right through the whole event…

Mika turned 3 on November 30th and we celebrated with all her friends on Saturday, December 1st. Special treat for her: all 4 of her grandparents were at the party too! Check out November’s gallery for more pictures.

Omi Hiltraud and Opa Addi came over to kill 4 birds with one stone, so to speak: Welcoming Tobin, Thanksgiving, Addi’s Birthday, and Mika’s Birthday.
