This gave me the idea to bring in my old grain mill that can turn hardy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.culinate.com\/articles\/features\/grain_glossary\" target=\"_blank\">oat groats<\/a> into tender oatmeal. To make the experience worthwhile, we turned our freshly made oatmeal into delicious oatmeal cookies &#8230; crunchy on the outside, and chewy in the center. Tobin&#8217;s class has one cooking project every week, so i had 24 eager kitchen elves to help with every step.
